Attorneys Jon Walker and Lynn Taylor to Author the Trial Notebook
Woodruff Johnson & Evans attorneys Jon Walker and Lynn Taylor were honored to be selected to author the Death Claims chapter for the newest edition of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association’s Workers’ Compensation Trial Notebook. The Trial Notebook, utilized as a resource by practitioners throughout the state, discusses the current law and offers practical guidance regarding various aspects of workers’ compensation claims.
While the severity of injuries varies from case to case, nothing is more devastating than a work accident which results in the death of an employee. A skilled workers’ compensation attorney is needed to ensure the surviving spouse, surviving children, or other beneficiaries, receive the benefits to which they are entitled, some of which may be available for the length of the beneficiary’s life. Given the complexity of fatal accident claims, attorneys must have the requisite experience and knowledge to obtain the maximum benefits possible for each eligible beneficiary.
After the loss of a loved one, legal proceedings are likely the furthest thing from your mind. The right attorney can help you focus your energy on caring for yourself and helping your family move forward. If you have lost a loved one as the result of an accident at work, call the attorneys at Woodruff Johnson & Evans to discuss how we can help guide you through the legal processes so you can concentrate on your recovery.
