Señor Haugen asistió La Universidad de Illinois State y se graduó con un título de Justicia Criminal. Mientras estudiaba, era paralegal (asistente) en Woodruff Johnson & Evans Law Offices. Como paralegal, aprendió bastante sobre las áreas de ley de Compensación al Trabajador y Lesiones Personales, y fue convencido que quería continuar estudiando la ley y sacar su licencia para ayudar a lo máximo sus clientes.

Señor Haugen asistió La Escuela de Derechos de Thomas M. Cooley en Lansing, Michigan. Allí trabajaba como voluntario en la Corte de Jóvenes como activista para jóvenes que se encontraron en el sistema legal por primera vez. También, era miembro activo en el Equipo de Tribunales de Práctica donde competió en un concurso de Tribunales de Práctica y se clasificó como uno de los 10 mejores de cientos concursantes. Mientras trabajaba por Woodruff Johnson & Evans Law Offices escribió varios papeles de apelación. Se graduó de la escuela de derechos con una concentración en Litigio.

Señor Haugen está contento de volver a Illinois y estar trabajando en Woodruff Johnson & Evans Law Offices como abogado. Es apasionado de servirle a la gente herida, trabajando fuertemente para ayudarlos obtener sus beneficios según la ley de Illinois.

Cuando no está trabajando, Señor Haugen le gusta jugar al golf, mirar y jugar al básquetbol y pasar tiempo con su familia.
